Ready or Not...

Ready or not, the first graders enter the room tomorrow. I do feel pretty ready!

I also feel very excited and anxious to get going. Last night 14 out of 16 showed up and left me smiling! There are a few who have brought on the challenge...telling me they don't like to read. Well, I see that as a challenge. Before they leave me, I want them to LOVE it!

Tonight I stopped at the public library and picked up some books on reserve. I usually buy more books this time of year, but this time I thought I'd give this a try. Plus I loved cuddling up and reading some new-to-me children's books this evening and preparing for the next few days.
